Abstract

By means of the introductory chapters in PART I of this report, the foundation has been laid for a discussion of investigations at the National Aerospace Laboratory (NLR), undertaken to extend the knowledge of handling quality criteria for transport aircraft equipped with closed-loop flight control systems. The design of the experiments performed is the subject of the present chapter. The results of the experiments and their interpretation form the subjects of chapters 8 and 9 of this report.
