Abstract

The next five weeks Prilly followed a strict routine as if her life depended on it. She was in the office every day by 8:30. Janice usually arrived by 8:00 if not earlier and often started Prilly’s day by popping unannounced into her office to review her latest ideas. Prilly worked hard, both on her considerable normal responsibilities and, even more so, on the memoir series. She was determined to stay focused while at the office. There were long-circulating rumors that the press was in trouble and cuts may be coming; rumors Janice was all too eager to spread.
