Abstract
The population of the United States (U.S.) was estimated at 318,892,103 in 2014 (Central Intelligence Agency, 2014). U.S. Census data in 2012 revealed there were 40 different languages spoken in U.S. homes and 79 ethnicities were reported. For the first time, in 2010, individuals were also allowed to list more than one race when completing census information.
