Abstract

This chapter discusses scholarly research, literature, and theoretical models about inclusion, differences, diversity in schools, and student voice and knowledge, to better convey how these impact minoritized children’s schooling. I draw attention to the importance of differences, how they may often intersect, and what this means for young people with intersecting differences, particularly in terms of educational equity, issues of inclusion/exclusion, and teachers’ common responses to managing diversity and difference within their classrooms.
