Abstract
I was born and have lived for most of my life in northern Finland in a small village in the middle of the wilderness. I should be a hunter or a fisherman. Being a Laplander is one of the stronger aspects of my identity. As a youngster I was interested in nature and landscape, and before I started my formal education as an art educator, I made drawings and paintings.
