The Kruskal-Wallis H test is a rank-based nonparametic test, which is used to determine if there are statistically significant differences between two or more groups of an independent variable on a continuous or ordinal dependent variable.

The Mann-Whitney U test is a rank-based nonparametric test, which is used to determine differences between two groups on a continuous or ordinal dependent variable.
