Abstract
Reflections on the life of Muslim nobility in the elaborate social structure of pre-partition India. As India’s wealthiest ruler, the Nizam of Hyderabad was known for his support for education that influenced the lives of many. Young females learn traditions of their religion and culture while being groomed for future success. Closeness to parents provides an early compass of values meant to serve a lifetime.
