Abstract
Schizophrenia is a disabling mental illness that impacts all major life areas, with recent research focusing on holistic interventions that enhance recovery and quality of life. Although the first line of treatment is psychotropic medication, after the acute symptoms resolve, many people continue to experience residual symptoms. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) adapted for psychosis could treat these symptoms, while recovery-focused CBT interventions could target disability from a broader perspective. These interventions are described in this chapter.
