Abstract
Widespread distributed generation and storage (DGS) uptake, though in line with sustainability objectives, could cause some short-term techno- and socioeconomic problems. One such issue could be grid voltage and frequency instability caused by the oversupply or overdemand of prosumers at certain times. This is an important topic which has not received attention until very recently. Here, we assess the impact of various ranges of DGS uptake on the grid at low voltage (feeder) level. Our main focus is on PV-Battery systems, though the study could easily be implemented for other DGS systems.
