Abstract
Using the convection model of Kuhfuß (1986) [1] the timedependence as well as the nonlocal character of the model are investigated in detail. The timedependence is studied within a one-zone model for variable stars. Nonlocality leads to a consistent description of overshooting including the influences on the temperature gradient.
