Abstract
In the conclusion chapter, I systemically compare the different country cases. The chapter maps differences and identifies similarities of nationhood and national sentiments in the five Nordics—Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The chapter furthermore provides distinction to nationalism elsewhere in Europe. After comparing the different types of nationalism, the chapter provides analysis of differences in development of populist political parties in the region. These are compared to nationalistic movements in other European countries. Finally, I estimate whether a common Nordic nationalism does exist.
