Abstract

Having reached the end of his career and having lost his sight as well, Gino Zappa endeavored to compile a monumental series of books addressing numerous issues. In the context of Management Theory, his intention was first to examine the real economy, followed by the financial economy. Then he would investigate quantitative measures of organizations (consistent with his guiding principle that management must be studied first, and then accounting issues). After dealing with the institutional structure of organizations and their aggregations (coalitions and concentrations), Zappa would conclude with a book entitled Management Theory.1
