Abstract

Times are changing, that’s for sure. There are numerous examples in business and society indicating that things aren’t what they used to be. Issues connected to globalization, shifting of powers, increasing turbulence and changing values are heading the news nearly every day. But what’s really going on, what does it mean to business and society and how does the business community respond to what’s happening? And is there a general pattern, a pattern that can help us orient ourselves properly, develop the skills needed and understand what it takes to get to the future fi rst? I think so, and in this chapter I’ll start with the fragments — the examples of what’s coming and how companies are adapting to what’s next.

If you don’t know where you’re going, it doesn’t matter which way you choose.
