Abstract

We have stressed the importance of self-awareness, it is an aspect of management which is often overlooked, but in seeing ourselves as others see us, we have the opportunity to adapt our behaviour to fit any given situation. Take every opportunity which is offered to increase your self-knowledge. Many organisations set up 360° feedback mechanisms as part of their performance management process. Beyond this, we have plenty of occasions when we can seek feedback from others and we should never underestimate the benefit of reflective thinking, something which is easy to do, if we simply make the time.
