On the Methods for Achieving Monetary Stability and if one can still Speak of a Lira Stabilization Crisis

  • Chapter
Luigi Einaudi: selected Economic Essays, Volume 2

Abstract

1. Several objections were raised against the article Il contenuto economico della lira dopo la riforma monetaria del 21 dicembre 1927 published in the November-December 1929 issue of this journal; these remonstrations are worth discussing, even though they were mostly expressed in the form of letters.1

First published as ‘Dei metodi per arrivare alla stabilità monetaria e se si possa ancora parlare di crisi di stabilizzazione della lira’, Riforma sociale, XXXVII, vol. XLI, nos. 5–6, May-June 1930.
