Abstract
The Alberta Teachers’ Association (ATA) is a professional organization that serves over sixty thousand members including those who hold life, student, associate and substitute, and part-time and full-time active status as teachers. Importantly, all teaching certificate holders (including principals) who are employed in a publicly funded school in Alberta are required to hold membership in the ATA.
