Abstract

In order to satisfy users’ need of extracting useful news topics from fruitful and complicated news information, this thesis designs the topic tracking system under the Internet circumstance, which is able to detect and track news information in the Internet. Based on web page crawling with the assistance of web news information collector, the system deals with information collected with self-designed and developed topic extractor. What’s more, keywords of topics are generated with the calculation of TF*IDF weights and K-Means clustering algorithm in the system. Eventually, timing arrangement and visualization process would be done to the keywords, and the topic tracking system under Internet is realized.
