Abstract
Large general construction projects are more complicated and require greater oversight than it ever has before. We are specially focusing on creative initiatives for hospital owners, who has less experienced with project management experience. Based on modern project integration management theory, we develop a set of best practice for hospital owners to integrate essential resources during the entire project progress. Moreover, we establish a 4D model for owner-oriented hospital construction integration management, attempting to outline a core concept of it from aspects, such as overall life cycle, management elements, organization, information, and risk, etc. This model can provide hospital construction owners with a more robust organization-wide governance structure, tighter controls, enhanced risk management processes and more effective monitoring processes.
