Abstract
This appendix cannot claim to be an exhaustive list of all known amino acids and their derivatives, because this seems to be ever-extending. It is intended, however, that it does include most of them, or at least the most common ones (with some concious exceptions - see below). To assist in calculation of masses of residues not included here, Table 1 gives the atomic weights used in the calculations for this Appendix.
