n (1) On a section beam, rolled ends are adjacent ends that do not unwind parallel to each other. Rolled ends can be caused by such factors as uneven tension, ridgy beams, and static. (2) The ends can also roll behind the hook reed in slashing and can tangle with each other, resulting in broken ends and ends doubling.
