Michele Scheinkman, LCSW.

Introduction

Michele Scheinkman has engaged in clinical practice and taught couples and family therapy courses for over 30 years. She has lectured in the United States and abroad on topics of expertise, including impasses, infidelity, intimacy, and jealousy. Throughout the course of her career, she has developed two noteworthy tools for couples therapy: the vulnerability cycle and the road map for couples therapy.

Career

In 1975, Michele Scheinkman received a master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration. Upon graduating, Scheinkman began her work as a psychotherapist, utilizing psychodynamic and problem-centered therapy with individuals, families, and groups at the Jewish Family and Community Services in Chicago, Illinois.
