Description
The Tactual Performance Test (TPT) requires that examinees are blindfolded and presented with blocks of differing shapes and a matching form board with holes. They are instructed to insert the blocks into the board as quickly as possible, first with the dominant hand, then with the nondominant hand, and, finally, with both hands together. After completion of these three trials, the form board is concealed, the blindfold is removed, and the examinees are asked to draw from memory both the shapes of the blocks and their relative placement on the form board. TPT performance is reported as time to complete the task, or minutes per block for the dominant and nondominant hands, for both the hands together and the total time for all the three tactile trials. A memory score is derived based on the number of blocks correctly drawn, and a location score is obtained for the number of blocks correctly located (Strauss et al. 2006)....
