Zusammenfassung
Spätestens seit den Arbeiten von Bourdieu (1983), Coleman (1990) und insbesondere Putnam (1993, 2000) ist das Konzept des Sozialkapitals in den Sozialwissenschaften fest etabliert. Sozialkapital beschreibt den Wert sozialer Beziehungen für Individuen und Gesellschaft. In diesem Beitrag erläutern wir zunächst die Grundlagen des Konzepts. Anschließend analysieren wir die Rolle des Sozialkapitals als Motor gesellschaftlicher Integration.
