Geographical distribution

AcCRaV infection in plants of Actinidia chinensis was reported from China (Zheng et al. 2017).

Symptoms and host(s)

The virus-infected kiwifruit plants exhibit chlorotic spots, chlorotic ring-spots, and vein-yellowing symptoms on leaves.

Transmission

The virus is transmitted by an eriophyid mite vector. The virus is also mechanically sap-transmissible to Nicotiana benthamiana on which chlorotic and ring-spots develop.

Virion properties and genome

The virions are spherical, enveloped by a double membrane, and measure from 80 to 100 nm in diameter.
