Biogeography is the study of the geographical distribution of organisms in time and space. It is an interdisciplinary field between biology and physical geography that focuses on the distribution patterns and compositions of biota and community types on the Earth’s surface. It can be divided into biogeographic geography and bio-ecological geography. It can also be divided into plant geography, animal geography, and insect geography based on the biological groups.
