Inside an area of 36 km2 in Putaoxiang (9 km long north-south, 4 km wide east-west) in Yangshuo, Guilin, there are 130 stone peaks, in an average density of 3.6 peaks/km2. The highest density is 8 peaks/km2. The peak slopes are generally steeper than 60°. The average relative height is almost 100 m, and ponds are common below the peaks.
