Selous Game Reserve is located along the borders between the southeastern coast of Tanzania, Morogoro, Lindi, Mtwara and Ruvuma. Large numbers of elephants, black rhinoceroses, cheetahs, giraffes, hippopotami and crocodiles live in this immense sanctuary, which has a core protection area of 44,800 km2 and is relatively undisturbed by human impacts.
