This is a landscape comprising platform-like landforms formed by marine erosion and deposition. During their formation, marine erosion first creates rock fragments in the bedrock of the coast, which are transported by waves and deposited at the slope edge to form a wave-built platform. This can be considered a type of underwater depositional terrace.
