This park is located in Yingcheng City in the northern Jianghan Plain, Hebei Province, and covers an area of 300 km2. It was designated as one of the second group of national mining parks by the Ministry of Land and Resources in May 2010. The deposits in the park mainly include Palaeogene gypsum, mirabilite and halite deposits, which are evaporates, and the mining history extends over 400 years. The park includes five mining heritage categories: mining geological heritage, mining production heritage, mining product remains, mining social life heritage, and mining development literature and historical records.
