This geopark is located in Guangde County (a trans-provincial area of Anhui, Zhejiang and Jiangsu) in Xuancheng City, Anhui Province. The geopark has a total area of 39 km2, and its main geological features cover an area of 17 km2. It was designated as a national geopark by the Ministry of Land and Resources in December 2011. The geopark features typical karst landforms. It is a medium-sized geopark with interesting karst caves, dry valleys, tiankengs (sinkholes), springs, karst depressions, collapsed funnels, underground rivers and karst lakes with high scientific and aesthetic value. The complete karst landforms, hydrogeologic features, cave systems and underground water systems have been fully preserved. The concentrated geological heritage landscapes, unique and diverse shapes, magnificent landscapes, karst caves, fault valleys, depressions, lakes and mountains are well-known. The geopark is a natural museum of the typical karst landscapes of eastern China and is worth visiting.
